Kim Wilde started her comeback with a cover version of her 1988 hit You Came. The new version was produced by Jörn-Uwe Fahrenkrog-Petersen (Nena) and sounds rockier than the original.
4 Weeks before sales started there was many promotion for her and the new material seen on many papers and magazines. Kim Wilde was interesting again and back in media.
There was also a video for the single made. Longtime fans of Kim remember some details e.g. the black&white shirt (Kids in America), the neckerchief around the microphone (You Came) or the frame (Who Do You Think You Are). Before officially released, a so-called secret video of You Came 2006 turned up the internet Kim miming the song on a bed. Dedicated to be an appetizer and definitly not a scandalous video like “Say You Really Want Me”. |
